An iconic gun deserves an iconic collection. Collector, author, and businessman, Robert M. Lee, was arguably one of the most renowned gun collectors in the world. This pair of stunning First Generation Colt SAA’s were previously part of his collection.

Lot 188 & Lot 189

The Gene Autry Western Heritage Museum commissioned one custom SAA per year in the 1990’s to be auctioned as a feature item during their annual fundraising gala. Engraved by master engraver Alvin White, these two Colt Single Action Army revolvers were auctioned in 1991 and 1996, respectively. The 1991 revolver was the first of the series and both are featured in R.L. Wilson’s “The Colt Engraving Book: Volume 2.”

Period Engraved Colt SAA with “Buntline Special” Length Barrel Featuring a “Buntline Special” length barrel and nearly 100% period scroll engraving coverage, this outstanding Colt SAA certainly stands out in a gun case. Manufactured in 1884, it was shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. in Chicago, Illinois.
