Manufactured in 1870. Standard two line company address on top of the barrel. Serial number remains on the under side of the tang. 24-1/2″ octagon barrel full length tube. Polished blade front sight and flip up ladder rear. Barrel, hammer and lever are blued. The frame, forearm tip and crescent butt plate are solid brass. Oiled wood stock and forearm appear to be later replacements. Sling swivels are period. CONDITION: Metal is fair-good with the barrels presenting a mixed patina. Some traces of blue coming through. Brass frame shows some sign of cleaning. Bolt, loading gate and sling swivels show signs of pitting and patina. Wood has minor dents, scratches and scrapes. Bore is frosted with some pitting. Good overall rifling retained, being more worn at muzzle. Mechanically good. CALIBER: .44 Henry. FFL STATUS: Antique. S/N: 36345.
