Manufactured in 1970 in Belgium by FN for Browning. Standard markings and proofs on the barrel, frame and bolt. Stock, bolt, barrel and receiver serial numbers match. 22″ blued steel barrel. Factory drilled for a scope mount. Gray finished receiver with engraved elk scene on left of the chamber and whitetail on right side, signed by master engraver R. Greco. The floor plate features a whitetail buck in ferns, signed by master engraver Lilly Cortis. Typical scroll work on the balance of the receiver and on the chamber area of the barrel. Trigger guard features a bear engraving and signed by master engraver Richard Kowalski. Gold washed trigger. Factory high gloss finished walnut stock with one cross bolt. Fine cut checkering on the wrist and forearm. Both are outlined with floral carving. Factory sling studs. Typical capped pistol grip and hard plastic butt plate. LOP: 13-3/4″. CONDITION: Fine overall with metal retaining 98% finish. Does not appear to be a salt gun. Wood is excellent with a few light scratches. Bore is clean overall with strong rifling. Mechanically fine.
