Manufactured in 1976 in Japan and finished in Belgium by FN. 1 of 1000 made to commemorate the United States Bicentennial. Right wall of the barrel is marked “BROWNING BICENTENNIAL 1776-1976/Caliber .45-70 PATENT PENDING. 24” octagon barrel with blued blade front sight and buckhorn u-notch rear. Barrel is blued with fine scroll engraving on the chamber and muzzle. Coin finished frame with fine scroll engraving, featuring a bald eagle on the left side and buffalo on the right. Signed by master engraver “R.BEE” under the buffalo. Lever is engraved as well. Factory high gloss finish with fine cut checkering on the wrist and forearm. Crescent metal butt plate with fine engraving on top. LOP: 13-1/2″. Includes factory red velvet lined wood display case, knife and coin. CONDITION: Very fine with 98% finish remaining. Wood has a few scratches. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Fine mechanics. Case has a few exterior scratches. Knife and coin are excellent. CALIBER: .45-70 Government. FFL STATUS: Modern.
