Manufactured in 1937 as a standard takedown model. Standard markings on the barrel. Winchester proofs are absent. Matching serials on the frame and bottom tang with a 20″ barrel that has possibly been shortened. Blade front sight and u-notch leaf rear. Nicely reapplied blued finish. Both sides of the frame are highly scroll engraved with each side presenting a rabbit in the center. Gold borders and two gold bands on both the chamber and muzzle. Front of the frame is marked “Glimm Engraver” in script by master engraver Jerome Glimm. Refinished and oiled forearm/buttstock. Original checkered black plastic butt plate. Magazine tube has been polished. This is an extremely attractive rifle that would present well in any collection. CONDITION: Metal is very fine with 95% finish remaining. Wood has a few light handling marks. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. CALIBER: .22 S/L/LR. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic. S/N: 45746A.
