Fine Winchester Model 21 “Grand American” Grade side by side two barrel shotgun set made by Winchester Repeating Arms for Jack Steele Parker, former Chairman of General Electric, circa 1965 and shipped in 1971. First set of barrels are blued 28″ SXS Winchester proof steel with factory Winchester ventilated rib, marked “CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER FOR J.S. PARKER”, with floral engraved breeches, Lyman red bead front sight and bead mid sight, Winchester address and patents and Model 21 designation. Barrels fitted with ejectors, 3″ chambers and Full and Improved Modified chokes with engine turned barrel flats. Second barrel set mirrors the first, with the exception of the length being 26″, chambers 2-3/4″ and choked WS-1 and WS-2. Blued full coverage engraved action with gold pheasant on left panel and gold duck in flight on right with gold Labrador inlay on floorplate, taken from an image of J.S. Parker’s favorite dog, and gold woodcock on trigger guard bow. Walnut English grip stock with Winchester 21-B fine checkered wrist and side panels, ebony diamond stock inlays and checkered wood butt. Barrels each have designated checkered beavertail forearms with floral engraved roller latches. LOP: 14-7/8″. DAC: 1-3/8″. DAH 2-1/4″. Weight: 6 lb. 13 oz with 26″ barrels and 7 lbs. 1 oz with 28″ barrels. Includes leather case monogrammed “J.S. PARKER” with Winchester marked snap caps and leather carrying strap. Includes a research letter from the Cody Firearms Records Office. CONDITION: 98% barrel blue with light operation marks. 98% action blue with light edge wear. 98% fine hand rubbed finish with light usage marks and small dings in the checkering.
