Early Model 61, manufactured in 1932. Standard markings on the barrel with some being professionally restamped. Standard takedown features with matching serials on the frame and trigger group. 24″ barrel with blade front sight and u-notch leaf rear. Nicely reapplied blued finish with beautiful engraving on each side of the frame. Gold borders and a gold inlay rabbit and squirrel on right and left sides respectively. Gold inlay band on the muzzle as well. Work was done by Gino Cargnel, once associated with the Browning custom shop. Upgraded fancy walnut stock and forearm with fine checkering on the wrist and forearm. Checkered brown plastic butt plate. LOP: 13-3/4″. An absolutely stunning rifle that would be an excellent addition to any collection. CONDITION: Metal retains 97% of its applied finish. Wood is excellent as well. Bore is bright with strong rifling.
