Manufactured in 1931. Standard markings on the barrel, tang and serial number on the underside. 24″ barrel with blade front sight and u-notch leaf rear. Expertly reapplied blued finish and added scroll/floral engraving on the frame, lever, chamber and muzzle. Each side of the frame has African game scenes with a leopard being shot out of a tree on the right and a lion attacking a shooting hunter on the left. Both scenes are reflective, giving the impression that they are moving. Gold etched borders throughout the frame with two bands on the muzzle as well. Engravers initials “DH” and “82” on the front of the magazine. Finely restored walnut stock and forearm with a light oil finish. Wrist and forearm have fine cut checkering. Forearm has a horn type tip. Metal sling stud on the butt and underside of the barrel. Red rubber butt pad, marked “WINCHESTER”. LOP: 14″ to the end of the pad, 13-1/8″ to the end of the wood. This is a very attractive rifle that would be a fine additional to any collection. CONDITION: Metal is fine with 95% + reapplied finish remaining. Wood has light scrapes and scratches. Bore has a bright surface with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. CALIBER: .35 WCF. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic. S/N: 425386.
