Manufactured circa 1970’s in Belgium by FN for Browning as a standard Medallion grade Safari rifle using FN Supreme action. Gun was shipped to London Guns of Santa Monica California who further customized it for retail sale. Matching serials on the frame and barrel. Top of the barrel is marked “CAL. .375 H&H” and “LONDON GUNS-SANTA MONICA. CAL.”. 24″ barrel with ramped blade front sight. Four blade express style rear sight. Factory drilled on the receiver for a scope mount. Blued finish with medallion style engraving on the barrel and receiver. Trigger guard and floor plate are also engraved with a gold inlay elephant. Gold washed trigger. Finely figured wood stock with cross cut checkering on the wrist and forearm. Metal sling studs. Capped pistol grip with brown rubber “BROWNING” marked butt pad. LOP: 13-1/2″. CONDITION: Good with about 75% finish remaining. Evidence of salt wood/surface rust under the stock and at the stock line. Wood has some finish wear and signs of drying throughout. Bore is clean overall with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. CALIBER: .375 H&H. FFL STATUS: Modern. S/N: 878617.
