Manufactured in 1982 in Belgium by FN for Browning. Numbered 158 of 600. Standard markings and Belgian proofs. 22″ blued steel barrel. Factory drilled receiver. Flip down box magazine. French gray receiver featuring an engraved white tail deer on the right side and mule deer on the left, each marked with name and gold inlay animal portrait. “158 OF SIX HUNDRED” marked on the right and “ONE OF SIX HUNDRED” on the left. Signed “J.H.DIET” on the left side by master engraver Jean H. Diet. Also signed by master engraver “M. DiFranco” on right. Gold washed trigger. Gloss finished wood stock and forearm with fine cut checkering on both the wrist and forearm. Both have a carved floral outline as well. Metal sling studs. Factory black plastic butt plate. LOP: 13-3/4″. Includes factory red velvet lined wood display case with brass hardware. CONDITION: Very fine with 98% finish remaining. Wood is excellent. Bore is bright and crisp.
