Originally a military gun, it was later engraved by an unknown artist (no signature found, minus “IA CO” on the right side of the frame). “MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY” marked on the right side of the slide, standard patent dates/company address on the left and a rampant Colt pony in the center. “United States Property” removed from the left side of the frame. 5″ WW2 era Springfield barrel with blade front sight and u-notch rear. Aftermarket blued finish with fine scroll engraving. Mother of pearl style grips with rampant Colt ponies and floral scenes carved on each panel. Includes an unmarked blued steel magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% or more of its applied finish. Front sight has some light marks and scrapes. Grips are excellent. Bore has a lightly frosted surface. Rifling remains very good. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light finish wear. CALIBER: .45 ACP. FFL STATUS: Curio & Relic. S/N: 428016.
